Showtek launches new label f_ck the system with Kate Ryan collaboration “Ella Elle l’a”
Some artists spend their careers refining a single sound. Showtek have spent more than two decades doing the opposite.
From the hardstyle records that first put Wouter and Sjoerd Janssen on the global map to crossover collaborations with David Guetta and Major Lazer, the Dutch duo have consistently moved between scenes without allowing genre to define the next step. That approach now becomes the foundation of F_CK THE SYSTEM, their new record label created in partnership with Dutch independent powerhouse Be Yourself Music.
Launching with their new collaboration alongside Belgian-French dance icon Kate Ryan, the imprint is less about establishing another label than creating a space where every side of Showtek’s musical identity can coexist. Club records, festival productions and crossover releases all belong under the same roof, without the need to fit a predetermined lane.
Its debut release revisits one of European dance music’s most enduring anthems. “Ella Elle L’a” pairs Showtek with Kate Ryan for an official reinterpretation that respects the original while shifting its energy firmly toward today’s dancefloor.
The collaboration first revealed itself in Paris. During Showtek’s performance at Fun Radio Ibiza Experience inside the Accor Arena, an early version of the track found an audience before it had a release date. Thousands of voices sang every lyric back, transforming what began as a live edit into something that demanded a proper release.
The record also continues Showtek’s long-standing relationship with the French music scene. Following years of collaborations with David Guetta, the duo delivered the official remix of GIMS’ “Ciel” in 2025, extending a creative connection with one of Europe’s most influential dance markets. Bringing Kate Ryan into the project adds another chapter to that story.
With more than 3.5 million records sold and over 500 million streams, Ryan remains one of the defining voices of European pop dance. Songs including “Désenchantée”, “Voyage Voyage”, “Libertine” and “Ella Elle L’a” continue to resonate across generations, while her 25th anniversary tour in 2026 will see her return to stages across Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Poland and beyond.
