SAMOH makes his KNTXT debut with high-energy club weapon ‘Changing Worlds’ EP
Four-tracker lands on KNTXT on February 26, Cat. No. KNTXT032
Rotterdam-based producer, DJ and live artist SAMOH steps into a new chapter with Changing Worlds, a four-track EP marking his debut on Charlotte de Witte’s influential KNTXT imprint. Out on February 26, the release positions SAMOH firmly within the label’s high-intensity, no-compromise techno continuum.
Charlotte de Witte has been an early supporter of SAMOH’s sound, regularly featuring his tracks in her sets. “I have been playing SAMOH’s tracks for quite some time now and I am very happy to welcome him to KNTXT,” she says. “His acid, techno and trance-driven approach fits my lane perfectly. There is an energy in his work that feels raw, focused and completely unapologetic. This release in particular has that acidic drive that I love so much. This is powerful club material and I cannot wait to see where it will go.”
For SAMOH, the release represents both recognition and momentum. “Releasing this as my first record on KNTXT is an amazing opportunity, and I feel honoured to be able to share my music with so many people and let this sound travel further worldwide,” he explains.
Changing Worlds is built for peak-time immersion. The title track opens the EP with a rampant beat, rattling drums and an acid-saturated hook edged with euphoria, anchored by a portentous vocal that sets the tone for what follows. ‘We Are All Waveforms’ pushes deeper into psy-leaning territory, stacking relentlessly acidic builds until they spiral into banshee-like pitch sweeps and hissing, shuttering FX. ‘Reality Is Gone’ follows with a more aggressive intent, hammering straight into the body and taking full command of the dancefloor. Closing track ‘Echoes Of Tomorrow’ shifts the perspective, beginning with dystopian, chattering percussion and space-laden textures before unfolding into a melodic, trance-inflected finale that feels almost restorative.
“Changing Worlds represents my approach to acid techno and trance in its most direct and energetic form,” SAMOH says. “I made this EP with three high-energy tracks, followed by a more atmospheric closing piece that brings everything together. It’s about driving motion and intensity, creating moments where dancers can disconnect from everything else and fully give themselves to the music.”
This is uncompromising club music. Acid lines cut sharp, techno rhythms gallop without apology, and trance elements pull the listener into a focused, altered headspace. Resistance is optional.
