Gashouder Returns for ADE 2026 With Armin van Buuren, Eric Prydz, MOCHAKK and More
The iconic Amsterdam venue will host a diverse programme of electronic music and live performances
One of Amsterdam’s most recognisable electronic music venues is preparing to welcome audiences once again. Following an extensive redevelopment, Gashouder will return during Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), taking place from October 21 to 25, with a programme featuring Armin van Buuren, Eric Prydz, MOCHAKK, I Hate Models, Nico Moreno, Sammy Virji and more.
Long associated with some of the city’s most memorable electronic music events, particularly the legendary Awakenings parties, Gashouder has occupied a distinctive place in Amsterdam’s clubbing history. Its monumental circular architecture and industrial character have made it an internationally recognised destination for electronic music, with the upcoming ADE programme marking the beginning of a new chapter for the venue.
Rather than focusing on a single genre, the pre-opening season will explore different corners of contemporary dance music, bringing together established international names and emerging artists across house, trance, UK garage, minimal and hard techno.
The programme begins on Wednesday, October 21, with Swan Lake Remixed for ADE, a collaboration between Dutch National Ballet and ISH Dance Collective that combines classical dance, electronic music and contemporary performance. Two performances will take place before Armin van Buuren officially launches the venue’s electronic music programme later that evening, joined by Benwal, Idemi and Olive Anguz.
“It is special to host this show during ADE at this iconic and renovated venue. Gashouder has always been a place where music, culture, and connection come together, and it is wonderful to kick off this week together right here,” says van Buuren.
Thursday brings two contrasting events, beginning with a special performance from Eric Prydz before I Hate Models and Nico Moreno take over the venue for a night dedicated to harder sounds, alongside Emilija and MAUDUX.
On Friday, Dutch favourite Job Jobse will present the biggest headline show of his career to date, joined by Ryan Elliott and BASHKKA. Later that night, Brazilian DJ and producer MOCHAKK brings his MOCHAKK CALLING concept to Amsterdam, with a lineup featuring Eli Iwasa, ISAbella, Juliana X, MPH and Solarce Brothers.
Saturday’s programme moves between house and UK garage. Franky Rizardo will host an edition of his FLOW concept, bringing together Cloonee, Easttown, Grace Arribas, Mason Collective and AAT. Later, Sammy Virji takes control of the venue with a curated lineup featuring Riria, Rossi., SAIDAH and Sam Alfred, reflecting the growing international presence of UK garage.
Josh Baker will close the ADE programme on Sunday, October 25, alongside Alexandria, Marie Montexier and Marsolo.
For Gashouder’s programming team, the diversity of the lineup reflects a broader ambition to establish the venue as a meeting point for different musical communities.
“With these announcements, we’re not only showcasing the incredible diversity of electronic music today, but also the role Gashouder aims to play within it: a place where different scenes, generations and communities come together. ADE is only the beginning,” explain programmers Jam and Jali van der Valk.
The ADE events form part of Gashouder’s pre-opening season, with its official reopening scheduled for November. With a capacity exceeding 3,500 visitors, the redeveloped space is set to operate as an independent cultural venue, expanding beyond electronic music to include live concerts, art and performance.
For a building that has already witnessed decades of Amsterdam’s electronic music history, the upcoming reopening represents an opportunity to connect its established legacy with a broader vision for the future.
Gashouder’s ADE programme runs from October 21 to 25, 2026, at Klönneplein 1, Amsterdam. Tickets and further information are available through the venue’s official website.
