Brighton’s former Arch venue to reopen as Quarters

Brighton’s iconic former club, The Arch, is set for a major transformation as promoters AMAAD (A Man About A Dog) prepare to launch a new venue named Quarters in late autumn 2025. The venue will offer a mix of electronic and live music, inclusive programming, and a renewed focus on community and cultural collaboration.
AMAAD, the team behind events and venues such as Junction 2, LWE, The Prospect Building, and Boundary Festival, will oversee the redevelopment. The space holds historic significance as it was originally home to the legendary club The Zap. In its new form, Quarters is positioned to become a key fixture in Brighton’s nightlife and music scene.

AMAAD founders Paul Jack and Will Harold say, “We have a long track record of transforming ideas into culturally significant projects, and we’re very excited about Quarters. We aim to showcase world-class talent while also providing a platform for collaboration with Brighton’s diverse creative community. We’ve always loved Brighton’s independent attitude and see a great opportunity to build a forward-thinking venue that supports a wide range of culture in the area.”
Brighton-based promoter Luke Ralph added, “The launch of Quarters is great news for Brighton. AMAAD is the perfect choice to ensure this space evolves into a modern, progressive venue, equipped to handle the very latest trends.”

The first phase of Quarters' reopening will reveal a full renovation of the space. Two rooms will be combined into one central dancefloor, featuring a 360-degree DJ booth, chill-out areas, and an L-Acoustics A15 surround sound system. The venue’s lighting design will be intentionally minimal, aiming to keep focus on the music and atmosphere.
AMAAD will continue its collaboration with live programming partner Ghostwriter, known for booking artists like Little Simz, Yungblud, and Mac DeMarco. The partnership will bring a curated live music offering to complement the club’s electronic programming.

The venue will prioritise accessibility, affordability, and sustainability, aligning with AMAAD’s wider goals across its other projects. Local collaboration will also be central to Quarters.
